Michael is a professional planner with over ten years of advanced experience across the public and private sectors in Ontario and Alberta. Prior to co-founding Siv-ik Planning & Design Inc. he held senior positions with the City of Calgary and City of Hamilton planning departments where he has helped deliver and shape the development of new master-planned neighbourhoods and major urban infill projects. Michael has worked with communities to reimagine suburban places through new policy and design guidelines and has led change in how municipal planning services are delivered to industry.

 

Michael’s career started as a planning consultant in southern Ontario where he supported private sector clients in bringing development projects from concept through to reality. Michael is a graduate of the School of Urban and Regional Planning at Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University), holds a certificate in Real Estate Development from the University of Calgary and is a Registered Professional Planner.
